The Small Business Voice is the independent voice and resource for SMEs in New Zealand.

The Small Business Voice is an incorporated Charitable Trust set up to support and represent SMEs throughout New Zealand, formerly the Independent Business Foundation.

Currently, 97% of New Zealand businesses employ less than five staff and are responsible for 28% of the country's GDP. We believe that helping SMEs to prosper leads to the creation of wealth and economic growth for all of New Zealand.

What do we do?

Free Helpline: Our free helpline, 0800 247 9393, provides assistance in many areas, including accountancy, law, employment issues, local body regulations, resource management and the environment. This helpline is also a valuable source of referrals for other SMEs who are our preferred suppliers
Training & Education: We assist SMEs to up skill by providing training and education
Breakfast & Briefing Sessions: Bi-monthly sessions that provide a forum for SMEs to discuss topical issues and keep updated on law changes
Government Advocacy
Being the Voice of SMEsThe Government regularly seeks public comment on proposed legislation. We give SMEs a voice by commenting to the media as well as preparing and presenting submissions to select commttees.
